When my full-time job came to a halt in 2020, I was given something I hadn’t had in a long time: space. Space to pause, reflect, and really ask myself what mattered most. In that quiet, I found the chance to listen to my own heart.
During that season, I joined Young Women’s Alliance and discovered a community through networking, volunteering, and countless virtual coffee dates. It was there that I met a woman who owned a wedding coordination company, and before long, I found myself assisting her with weddings, stepping into a world that would quietly reshape my life.My very first event was a socially distanced backyard micro-wedding. The world felt heavy at that time, yet in the midst of it all, I found joy. I felt alive in the adrenaline, the details, and the challenge of bringing a vision to life. Even though I was “just a coordinator,” something inside me knew I wanted more.
